How To Download Music for free and in an almost legal way.

For downloading music legally i would be using an almost legal site “Grooveshark” .

Okay, I think in this world, Music and Internet should be free.. like an universal right. And music companies and artist would earn money through taxes paid by us. But still it’s only a dream and now come to the reality.

Now you would be asking why “Grooveshark” as there are millions of fancy sites like mediafire, megaupload, etc.
Now let me answer.. Grooveshark is not illegal. It doesn’t let you download their uploaded music. It’s similar to Pandora or Last.fm
But the difference is you can play any desired song of your choice without the interruption of idiotic ads. Plus most of the songs are in 192kbps format, therefore it makes some sense in quality and all the songs have a nice looking album art and correct metadata. One more thing Grooveshark has 22 million tracks of songs.
Now our mission is to download tons of our fav music from this treasure site. Just go through my steps and you would be listening songs on your iPod, iTunes, Walkman, Computer, anywhere.
Steps:

1. You need to use Internet Explorer for this whole process. I know this is bad but the main plugin doesn’t work in Firefox or Chrome. So install the latest version of IE9 for Windows7 and Vista and IE7 for XP users.
2. Now Go to “http://www.orbitdownloader.com/Orbit-Grooveshark-downloader.htm” and click on Download Now.
3. Then install the downloaded software. Actually you don’t need to use the Orbit downloader for doing this. You just need is the new
   “Grab Pro” plugin in IE. If everything is correct then your IE will look like this. Notice the Grab pro bar.
   
4. Now don’t remove the bar because that’s the key to download. Okay then open “http://grooveshark.com/” and search any song or artist or album of your choice.
5. For example i am searching here “eminem”. Then some results will come up basically all the songs uploaded by him.
6. Now play any song from the results. Like i am playing “Cinderella Man”. Then the song will start to play. You will soon notice that in the Grab Pro Bar, a number would show up.
7. Now click on the grab pro bar. and then click on Download it button.
8. After clicking on download it. It will ask you to save the file. Just make sure that you rename the file correctly and then click on save.
9. Soon the music will start to download the benefit is that it doesn’t download in a new form it just combines the streamer and downloader. So you could listen to that song while downloading it. Soon after the download completion the bar will look like this.
10. Now what else, Open your download folder and enjoy the high quality song offline. Put it in your iPod or your music player or just enjoy on your pc.
11. Just play it and don’t forget to share them with friends. But don’t make money with this.
12. Note: This is an almost legal way to download music since we aren’t using any fancy ad sites nor anyone would trace it. But if you still feel some pity for the artists then don’t do it. Always listen to your heart okay. You could also buy a $4 subscription in Grooveshark so that “downloading” makes some sense. Meanwhile you could also try one more legal music downloading site like Jamendo. What a fresh piano music!!!
